What is the Catskill Mountain Railroad?
The Catskill Mountain Railroad is a heritage railroad based in Kingston, New York, that began operations in 1982. The CMRR is dedicated to preserving the Ulster and Delaware railroad corridor for all-season recreational use. The railroad is employee-owned and all operating profits are put back into the railroad track and equipment. The CMRR receives no subsidies – we depend on ticket sales to operate, maintain our trains and make continuous improvements to the historic U&D Corridor.
